Membership and Programs Coordinator
Mika Lopez Woodward is the Membership and Programs Coordinator at the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). In this role, he supports ongoing member engagement, events, and the development of timely and bespoke resources to assist GIFCT member companies in their efforts to counter terrorism and violent extremism.
Mika began his career interning with the UN Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT), where he worked directly under the Director of the section in managing UNOCT’s private sector partnerships. In this capacity, he contributed to policy-oriented collaborative projects on the nexus between terrorism and violent extremism and digital spaces with partners including INTERPOL and the World Economic Forum. Mika has also worked for the UK Government Office for Science, where he led the Office’s cross-department engagement on emerging technology horizon scanning to identify trends, threats, and opportunities across science and technology.
Mika is a graduate of the University of Oxford (BA Hons).
