Dr Fola Aina is a Political Scientist and international security analyst. He is the Research Director at the Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET), which is the academic research arm of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). Fola is also a Senior Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR), King’s College London. He completed a second Masters’ degree in African Studies, at the University of Oxford, having earlier obtained a master’s degree in international development policy from Seoul National University, South Korea. He completed a doctorate degree in Leadership Studies, with reference to security and development at King’s College London, United Kingdom. His research interests include terrorism and the extremism and technology nexus. His works have been published in several reputable international academic journals.
