Courtney Gregoire serves as Vice President and Chief Digital Safety Officer for Microsoft Corporation. In this role, she leads Microsoft’s strategy to advance digital safety through technology, policy and partnerships, and mitigate risks to users from illegal and harmful content online. She is internationally recognized as a leader in trust and safety and currently serves as Board Chair for the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism and Board Member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

Before joining Microsoft, Courtney served as Director of the National Export Initiative for President Obama and Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Commerce. She previously served as Legislative Director and Chief Counsel for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, and as an elected Commissioner for the Port of Seattle from 2012-2019.  Courtney started her legal career at K&L Gates. A graduate of Willamette University and Harvard Law School, Courtney lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two daughters.
