Position Summary
GIFCT is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated candidate to work with the Membership & Programs team to support prospective applicants and incoming GIFCT member companies, and work on related GIFCT programs and partnerships. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, experience with multi-sector groups and communities, and will be comfortable interacting with international stakeholders across different geographies. Experience working within a team and on events and programs will be beneficial. A demonstrable interest in topics related to trust and safety efforts online, online policies, digital safety, counterterrorism, and/or counter-extremism efforts is desirable.
Role Description: Membership & Programs Associate
Responsibilities
- Support the Membership & Programs Lead in identifying and supporting companies applying to join GIFCT, including managing related documentation and processes relating to compliance with GIFCT membership criteria
- Support partnership management, including drafting and sending communications, basic administration, and project management around GIFCT programs, such as Working Groups.
- Coordinates human rights reviews and other insights with relevant external partners and GIFCT teams
- Support GIFCT events and activities
- Contribute to research, analysis, and the development of publications (reports, blog posts. Insights) and products as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the following topics: trust and safety efforts online, analyzing international terrorist and violent extremist trends, international counterterrorism efforts, processes of radicalization towards violence, prevention and/or counter-extremism efforts, online policies and legislation.
- Ability to carry out independent research, analysis and drafting, including synthesizing complex information into easily understood briefings and assessments.
- Ability to work independently with excellent judgment as well as part of a team and across multiple time zones
- Fluency with digital office platforms and collaboration spaces such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while utilizing superior organization skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience handling sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills, including experience presenting work to internal and external audiences.
- Availability to occasionally travel, as needed, to domestic U.S, and international locations
- Strong commitment to GIFCT’s mission, purpose and values.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing communications for high-level political, industry and/or non-profit officials across different countries and contexts
- Experience providing training sessions or guidance to third parties is also beneficial.
- Competency in UN working languages is a bonus (Arabic, French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish).

Role Description: Membership & Programs Coordinator
Responsibilities
This Coordinator position sits within the Membership & Programs team, supporting the identification and application of new companies into GIFCT membership and ensuring members find added value to their trust and safety efforts through GIFCT. The Membership & Programs team, in coordination with the Executive Director’s Office and other teams, supports the development of bespoke research and analytical resources, and related events as needed.
- Tracking and coordinating membership engagements and needs
- Tracking and lending support to the development and updating of key GIFCT products and research to support current and incoming members
- Supporting annual reviews of members’ compliance with GIFCT’s membership criteria
- Supporting the coordination of virtual and in-person events hosted by GIFCT and supporting cross-team priorities
- Support the Director of Memberships and Programs with key administrative and operational management tasks as needed, including support for events and travel, and supporting organizational leads in preparing for virtual and in person meetings relating to memberships or programs

Position Summary
GIFCT is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to serve as the principal liaison and support to the Operating Board and the Independent Advisory Committee, the key governance bodies for GIFCT. Supporting the Executive Director, Operating Board, and IAC, the Executive & Stakeholder Management Lead will provide administrative, communication, and project management support as well as strategic oversight and coordination with key stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, experience supporting high-level executives and officials, and the ability to work with external stakeholders across time zones and sectors. Interest and experience in matters related to tech, counterterrorism, international security, and interagency cooperation is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support (25%)
- Plans and coordinates scheduling for GIFCT’s Executive Director and offers executive coordination and administrative support to the Executive Director
- Facilitates effective interactions with the leadership team, as well as external engagements, including managing scheduling and preparatory materials for virtual and in person meetings
- Manage correspondence for the Executive Director, including email and shared inboxes, to include drafting, reviewing, and sending communications on behalf of the Executive Director as needed.
- Coordinates across the team to compile and prepare pre-read documents, briefing notes and trip books to ensure the ED is well prepared for all meetings and events.
- Takes meeting notes and tracks action items and supports task follow up and prioritization through completion
- Assists in building and maintaining contact lists for the Executive Director’s Office.
- Maintain confidential records and documents for the Executive Director.
- Researches, prioritizes and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the ED and determines appropriate courses of action, referral or response.
Stakeholder Management: Operating Board & Independent Advisory Committee Support (75%)
- Serves as the liaison between GIFCT, the Operating Board, and the Independent Advisory Committee (IAC), ensuring each entity is effectively communicating
- Supports quarterly board meetings through scheduling and agenda preparation, managing the drafting and sharing of pre-reads, supporting travel and virtual logistics, and coordinating with other meeting participants and briefers, as relevant
- Supports IAC quarterly meetings, including the agenda and pre-read documentation
- Support onboarding, recruiting, and rotations of IAC applicants and members
- Acts as Board Secretary during Board Meetings; taking notes of the discussions and preparing the minutes to be adopted at subsequent meetings
- Coordinates with the IAC to schedule and prepare for Board Meetings, IAC quarterly meetings and bilateral discussions with GIFCT’s ED
- Drafts and prepares correspondence from GIFCT to the Operating Board and IAC, including Quarterly Notes and reports
- Organize end-to-end quarterly IAC meetings, from scheduling and travel to distributing materials and gathering feedback.
- Support the creation of an IAC annual report

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 6 years of administrative experience supporting executives or senior management, including complex calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel planning (domestic and international).
- Proven experience providing administrative support to an Operating Board or similar executive leadership body, including agenda management, meeting coordination, and documentation of meeting minutes and action items.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Experience managing communications and logistics for high-level officials in political, business, or non-profit sectors, both in the U.S. and internationally.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (fluency in English is required; competency in one or more of the UN working languages is beneficial)
- High discretion in handling sensitive information and sound judgment in independent decision-making.
- Resourceful and self-motivated, able to take ownership of diverse responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, and intuitive understanding of modern technology applications and software required to operate successfully in a virtual environment
- Active interest in GIFCT’s mission and substantive focus areas
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (domestically and internationally), as needed
