The webinar will provide an introduction to GIFCT’s Definitions and Legislation Project, which houses the newly revamped Global Legislative Map, and will feature a discussion of the legislative and regulatory frameworks that pertain to terrorist and violent extremist content or activity online. Speakers will examine how shifts in the threat landscape do, or do not, impact legislation, how regional and domestic approaches may complement or conflict, how non-governmental industries including tech, civil society, and academia can feed into legislation or policy approaches, and the human rights considerations that should be prioritized by those seeking to address terrorist and violent extremist content online.
