Trust and Safety Solutions Associate
Jessa Mellea is the Trust and Safety Solutions Associate at the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). In this role, she oversees GIFCT’s Incident Response Framework and works directly with member companies to develop resources in support of their efforts to counter terrorism and violent extremism.
She has previously worked in the academic and NGO sectors researching terrorist movements, radicalization, and deradicalization. Prior to her role at GIFCT, she served as a researcher at the Center for Monitoring, Analysis, and Strategy examining the rise of various far-right extremist movements in Germany. Her work has been published in Studies in Conflict and Terrorism and Perspectives on Terrorism, among others.
Jessa is a graduate of Brown University.
