Digital Battlegrounds: Countering Radicalization on Gaming(-adjacent) Platforms (GNET Workshop)
The Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET), with support from the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), is hosting a webinar on Digital Battlegrounds: Countering Radicalisation on Gaming(-adjacent) Platforms.
Organized in cooperation with the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), this webinar will feature a presentation from the team behind the new ‘RadiGaMe’ project, which explores radicalization and intervention measures on gaming (-adjacent) platforms and spaces and fosters collaboration with law enforcement to identify high-risk users and illegal content.

Panelists
Linda Schlegel is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), where she co-leads the RadiGaMe project and researches extremist activities in digital gaming spaces. She is also a Research Fellow at modusIzad, where she explores new avenues for digital P/CVE approaches, and a founding member of the Extremism and Gaming Research Network (EGRN).
Dr Jessica White co-founded and co-convenes the Extremism and Gaming Research Network. She is also a Senior Research Fellow in the Terrorism and Conflict group at the Royal United Services Institute in London, where she leads the Far-Right Extremism and Terrorism programme. Her expertise encompasses countering terrorism and violent extremism policy and programming, with a focus on gender mainstreaming strategies.
